Speakeasy Cover Photo

My last Speakeasy Cover Photo for the year! It's been great making these. It lets my creative juices flow. Happy summer everybody!

Three Themes Project

For this project, I decided to keep my usual motif of night skies. These pictures tell a story of my journey in life. Past, present, future. The past is of younger me, not sure where I stand in the universe. I can't see my potential, so I'm looking down. In the present, I see my potential. I see my goals and dreams in the stars and moon. In the future, I can see myself grabbing my life's dream, realizing that I have out grown most of my goals and see much more potential for myself.

This was a difficult project for me, surprisingly. I wasn't sue how to show this time line and make it clear to people. I realized that perspective was a big part in showing this message. I'm glad I was able to get many different angles in these pictures. The last one is by far my favorite.

Thank you for reading.

Frida Legacy

This image was based on my feeling that I express myself better with words than images and objects.

The tutorial that inspired the style of this piece: http://design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-make-a-typographic-retro-space-face--psd-3828

In the beginning, I wasn't sure how to format the picture. I thought that it was a bit drab, but I hoped that it would become complex eventually. I was also a bit lost as to how I would design the words to fit my face so I looked up a few tutorial. My favorite one was the link above.

eventually, I made the tutorial my own and added my own colors to the background. I like to think of night skies and galaxies as my motif. I tend to add those in my art pieces all the time. I really liked how this piece came out. It really shows the complexities with visual and written aspects.
